Who is Sheryl Rouse?

Sheryl Rouse is a powerhouse performer and world-class entertainer with an unforgettable voice. Currently based in Louisville, KY, she relocated from her home state of North Carolina where she began her career and her family. During that time, she refined her entertainment chops with her local band, and in 1994 was the undefeated champion on the legendary Amateur Night on Showtime At the Apollo in New York City.

 

She has since gone on to share stages with the likes of Al Green, Eddie LeVert, Shirley Murdock, Frankie Beverly, Lenny Williams, Freddie Jackson, The Whispers, The Isley Brothers, and many more. In addition to her countless concert performances, she has also lent her talents to the theatrical world, appearing in productions of The Wiz, Dreamgirls, and Porgy and Bess, to name a few.

 

Sheryl Rouse is known for her high-energy and charisma, and a unique ability to connect to any audience she encounters. She has curated tribute performances based on icons like Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, and traveled the nation sharing these legendary shows.

 

When she isn’t shining her light on stage, she loves to spend time with her family, and hosts the Saturday Night Blues Party radio show on 91.9 WFPK. Whether you experience Sheryl Rouse in concert, at a music festival, on the radio, or even at the grocery store, you will remember how she made you feel.
